What is Orienna?
Orienna is an iPhone app that helps adults make simple meals that better fit their current needs. It combines a reviewed recipe library, staged recipe choices, step-by-step cooking guidance, and a personal photo Journal.
Who is Orienna for?
Orienna is for adults who want a calmer, clearer way to prepare everyday meals—for themselves or someone they care for. It can be especially helpful when eating needs have changed, kitchen confidence is low, or simple meals need to fit particular tools, food limits, and tastes.
Does Orienna provide medical advice?
No. Orienna provides general cooking and meal information. It does not diagnose, treat, or manage a medical condition. Follow the advice of your doctor, pharmacist, or registered dietitian, especially when medication, kidney disease, diabetes, allergies, or swallowing safety is involved.
How are recipes recommended?
Orienna uses the answers you choose during setup, such as your available kitchen tools, allergies, food limits, meal needs, and taste preferences. Rules filter out recipes that conflict with hard limits and rank the remaining recipes by fit. You can change these answers later in Profile.
Can Orienna guarantee a recipe is safe for my allergy?
No app can replace checking the exact ingredients in your kitchen. Orienna uses your selected allergy information to filter its recipe library, but brands, manufacturing, substitutions, and cross-contact can change. Always read package labels and use your own allergy safety plan.
What does voice guidance do?
During Guided Cooking, each step can be read aloud automatically. Supported voice commands let you continue, go back, or repeat the current instruction. Voice guidance may be turned off in Profile.
Where are my meal photos stored?
Journal entries and selected meal photos are stored on your device. If you choose to save a photo to your iPhone Photos library, that copy is managed separately by Apple Photos and is not removed when you delete the app.
Do I need an account?
The current version does not require an email account. Orienna uses an anonymous device identifier to keep app and subscription status working on that device.
How do subscriptions work?
Subscriptions are purchased through Apple. The App Store shows the current price, billing period, and any trial before you confirm. You can view or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless Apple states otherwise.
